You choose the moment
Immediately upon activation of your account, on a fixed date, a few days after activation, or on an occasion — if the date is not known yet, your loved one will open the message at the right time. Series can also be: a message on every birthday, until they are adults.
Safe until the time comes
Your messages are encrypted and can't be seen by anyone — including us. One to three trusted buddies ensure that your account is activated at the right time, without ever seeing the content.
FAQs
Can I get a message delivered at a date far in the future?
Yes. You choose the time: a fixed date (even decades in advance), an occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, or an episode after your death. Sequences are also possible, for example a message on each birthday.
Who can read my messages before they are delivered?
No one. Your messages are stored in encrypted form and only the recipient sees them at the chosen time. Your trusted buddies and Psily employees can't read the content either.
What does it cost to prepare messages for later?
You start for free and can create your first messages right away. With Premium, you get unlimited messages, video recordings up to 500 MB and additional features such as the digital vault.
Can I send a message to multiple people at once?
You create a separate message for each recipient. That may seem cumbersome, but it's intentional: a letter to your daughter is simply a different letter than one to your brother, and everyone receives only what is meant for them.
How long can a video recording be?
Long enough for an extended message, even in high quality. Your storage space is always shown in the sidebar and can be expanded. Video is part of Premium; with Free you can record audio.
What if my recipient's email address changes?
You can save multiple email addresses and phone numbers per contact and update them whenever you want. Keep them current — delivery ultimately depends on it.
What that looks like in practice
A father records a video on the evening before his daughter's wedding, and sets it aside for her twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. A mother writes eight letters — one for each birthday between twelve and twenty — and schedules them for the day itself. Someone with a serious diagnosis speaks what he cannot say aloud, and chooses for it to arrive only after his passing.
What these examples share: the moment of writing and the moment of arrival are far apart. That's exactly what a time capsule is for. You don't need to know when it will be — you can link a message to an event instead of a date, or fill in the date later.
Your messages remain yours until the very end. You can edit them, replace them, or delete them as long as you live. Only when your account is activated does everything lock in permanently, exactly as you left it.
